SHOPS-VOCABULARY

    Prepositions of place

Examples: I go to work by car     I like travelling by train
Examples: I was on the bus when my mother phoned me

    Compara:
    1. Peter always goes to work by bus as he hates driving = decimos cómo va Peter a trabajar (sentido general)
    2. Peter always listens to music when he is on the bus to work (es una situación específica, cuando Peter se encuentra en el bus)
    Common mistakes:
    by my car
    by the train
    by a car
    • on + foot = a pie, caminando

Example:  My children go to school on foot.
I walk to work every day = voy andando a trabajar todos los días
My children walk to school with their friends.
